Actually it’s Saturday but who cares what day it is when you’re on vacation. It’s strange not being in our old house which has been sold. Our new house is set up real nice. Big kitchen, a terrarium like shower, surround sound speakers, banana trees, and best of all Debbie and I have our own bedroom. It’s about a 2 minute walk down a muddy road to the beach. But who cares we’re on Kauai.
The boys (except for Henry) are settling into a routine of sorts all revolving around the ocean. My left ear was clogged with water the other day and I got a strange pleasure out of getting out of the ocean after a swim around the reef totally deaf for a minute.
This is the 1st year we are feeling the sting of 5 boys and the amount of food they eat. The numbers are staggering. Debbie thinks that weekly trips to Costco in Lihue are going to be a necessity. Tonight, the Hanalei Canoe Club is throwing a luau next to the pier. Pig and shave ice are on the menu!
